Steve Laurence - Director

After taking a keen interest in photography Steve enrolled in a three year photographic course at The Guildford Technical University of Film, where he gained detailed knowledge of the medium. Working as a freelance photographer for three years his interest shifted to the moving image and how a story could be told in this format. After writing and directing a number of shorts this endeavour culminated in setting up the film company Falcon Productions with Ben Cannell and Martin Laurence. He continues to combine his directing and producer skills and is currently in development with a number of feature film projects.

 

 

 

 

Ben Cannell - Director of Photography

Ben grew up fortunate enough to spend a lot of time on and around the sets and productions within the advertising industry. From a young age, it was clear that Ben had picked up a lot of skills behind the cameras. Graduating at distinction level at Guildford Technical University of Film, Ben developed a sharp, artistic eye for composition and lighting of the moving image. Using his keen understanding of this art, Ben went on to work on a handful of short films and music videos. Collaborations with colleagues, Martin Laurence and Steve Laurence, saw the birth of a new, strong and creative force, including the acclaimed ‘RISE’ which Ben also directed. With a passion for storytelling, combined with his practical skills, Ben began writing for the screen. Now, having co-written 'Art House Massacre' Ben has become known for his visual style and creative camerawork. 

 

 

 

 

Martin Laurence - Producer

Martin Laurence began producing short films after graduating from Guildford Technical University of Film and his passion for cinema grew. He went on to direct and produce a handful of acclaimed shorts films that have played in many festivals and screened on national television as well as the MTV network. His latest project is a collaboration with his brother Steve Laurence and colleague, Ben Cannell, which has led them to produce and write ‘Art House Massacre’, their debut feature.  He is currently writing screenplays ready to go into production early 2013. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Ben Loyd Holmes - Producer 

Growing up with a family in the business meant he was on set from a very young age and quickly his passion for the industry grew. His father being a successful 1st AD and second unit Director, Ben drew from his father's experience as well as other actors he admired.

In 2008 Ben began writing and producing with the series BLACK BOOK which was quickly followed by his first feature film the critically acclaimed THE HIKE (Lionsgate)-That premiered in Leicester Square and went on general release for Halloween 2011.

 The big budget action feature 'Mercs' is currently in production. 

 

 

 

Gerry Moffett - Music Composer

  Gerry has been a professional musician/composer with 35 years working in all aspects of the music industy from session musician, world concert tours, Theater musical director, library music TV and Film composer.

His recent commissions include:- B-Sky-B, Carlton TV, Channel 4, BBC, Disney USA, Falcon films, Zentropa films, Uslot films, Buffy the vampire slayer, Smallville, The UFO Files, Animal Planet, CSI Miami, History Channel

Gerry has signed major recording contracts with RCA, EMI and SONY/BMG America

Artists Gerry has worked with include:- Cliff Richard, Sheena Easton, Peter Frampton, Bob Geldof, Kim Wilde, Boy George, Keith Emerson, Jack Bruce, Barry Manilow, David Essex, Bond, Vanessa Mae and Julien Clerc. 

 

 

Michelle Bennett - Special Effects Make up artist

In 2008 Michelle studied Fashion, Theatre and Media Make Up at City and Islington College. After which she started freelance work on music videos, fashion shoots and short films. Michelle soon discovered her passion was with special effects makeup and did some extra courses in prosthectics, airbrushing and makeup SFX and assisted SFX Artist whenever she could. When she read the script for Art House Massacre in 2010 she was really excited about all SFX needed for the film. It was a huge challenge for her, but was the perfect project for her to exercise her creativity.
